With the nature of how much freedom I had with Capstone, I knew this was a long awaited moment of being able to do something truly truly authentic that speaks to my very core as not just a designer, but an individual. These garments displayed are truly who I am as a designer, a guy that grew up adoring comic books and superheroes and a person looking to just make cool things. The inspiration for this women’s suit came from the idea of “Badass Cinderella”, I wanted to bring to life that woman who is absolutely fearless and is not to be underestimated, I wanted the garment to feel like something that would make the wearer feel special and powerful. The fantastic raised texture fabric as well from @parallellifestudios also brought on a much needed flare of a modernized superhero feel rather than a just a flat fabric. This entire project was the most fun I ever had on a design project and will absolutely be something I hold near and dear to my heart for years to come!

Its not always about trying to play it safe or trying to be risky, being marketable or full on bizarre/different, sometimes there is just so much in the grey, and that’s the beauty. Perhaps sometimes you guide yourself with the purpose of having fun with whatever you do and that can be enough. I am so appreciative of everyone that helped me out with this project, and although I had some very big ambitions with this thing mainly on the tech ideas and some destinations were not reached, that drive gave me some very great takeaways for me to take on throughout my life’s journey.
